Katie is a woman who has a passion to better womens birth experiences. She has experience as an EMT, which ultimately peaked her interest in labor and birth. She became a birth doula in 2013 which was an experience that allowed her to support women in both hospital and home birth. She quickly grew towards home birth and started midwifery school in 2015. Katie attended the National College of Midwifery. She graduated in 2018 and became a Certified Professional Midwife. When Katie is not attending births and caring for women and babies, she is found in nature usually riding her motorcycle, hiking, boating, offroading, and ultimately exploring the local mountains and deserts with her husband, Jacob, her sons, Isaac and Jaxon and her two dogs Zula and Rojo.

Katie's goal is to preserve the art of midwifery and care for women and babies in the most gentle way to allow bonding and breastfeeding to happen in the environment the mother desires. She feels that through having an educated informed decision that the mother could lessen any birth trauma and provide a positive and gentle experience for both mom & baby. She also feels all women should have access to midwifery care and the birth experience they dream of.
